How to Fix the Bottom Taskbar Icons so That They are Left Aligned

You reluctantly upgraded your Windows from Windows 10 (or lower) to Windows 11 and after you restarted your computer, you noticed that all your icons at the bottom of the screen in the taskbar are center aligned and you want them back to left aligned like it was in previous versions of Windows.

Here are the Steps to Left Align (or Center Align) your Taskbar.

  1. Move your cursor down to the taskbar and right click once there. You will see a Taskbar Settings pop up. Click on that.

2. On the right side, scroll down until you see Taskbar Behaviors.

3. Click the Taskbar alignment pulldown menu. Select Left if you want Left Aligned, or Center if you want Center aligned icons in your taskbar settings. That’s it, then close out.

That’s it, you now have your icons showing below left aligned or center aligned based on how you want them to appear. I know for me I like them left aligned because that’s the way it’s always been and change is tough for all of us that like it the way it was.
