2. Where can you perform A/B tests?

With GetResponse’s A/B testing feature, you can test out various elements of email subject lines, webinars, and landing pages to see what’s working — and what’s not.

The major difference between the two platforms is how specific you can get in your testing. While GetResponse allows you to test smaller variables like colors, navigational settings, and even CTAs — Brevo only allows you to test workflow paths. 

3. What about their marketing automation capabilities?

The biggest difference is that Brevo doesn’t offer as many workflow templates as GetResponse, so if you want to use templates, your options are limited.

4. Which platform offers conversion funnels?

GetResponse

With GetResponse’s Conversion Funnel tool, you can create a visual funnel and map out conversions in an editable template.

8. Where are you able to send autoresponders?

GetResponse

Otherwise known as email drip campaigns, you can create autoresponders quickly and easily using GetResponse. 

The tool allows you to use ready-made templates to build autoresponders for any situation like a marketing or welcome campaign. And then, using the Calendar View, visualize when these emails will be hitting your subscriber’s inboxes:

However, the autoresponder feature goes beyond just sending out emails. It also tracks how your contacts interact with those emails and keeps that data on file. 

So if a contact lives in a certain time zone or opens your emails at a specific time, GetResponse can automatically adjust the send-time of your autoresponders to match their past-behavior data.

Brevo

Brevo also offers an autoresponder-like feature through their automation, where you can create sequences from scratch or with the help of ready-made templates. 

Using the Brevo dashboard, you can select an autoresponder workflow and then customize when and where you would like autoresponders to be sent out:

Once it’s live, autoresponders can be sent out to new subscribers or newsletter readers automatically. 

Verdict:
The difference between the two platforms is the level of control you have over the automated responses. In GetResponse, you can easily add autoresponders on any day of their cycle, without creating an additional automation workflow.

Also, while GetResponse intuitively collects data on when a contact opens their emails and changes send times accordingly — Brevo does not, which means you’ll have to make these changes manually. 

9. Is there an option of segmentation?

Any tool that claims it can help with your email marketing should have segmentation features — GetResponse is no different.

You can use GetResponse to segment your contacts based on the landing page they signed up through, the links they clicked, the emails they’ve opened, and even by how much money they’ve spent on your products. 

If you want to send out a specific marketing campaign to repeat customers, GetResponse can segment followers based on previous purchase numbers:

GetResponse also intuitively tracks how your contacts engage with your emails and automatically assigns an engagement score (from 1 to 5). If they are opening your emails and clicking links, they’ll get a higher score. 

This then gives you the ability to send out marketing campaigns to your most engaged followers and boost your chances of further conversions.  

Brevo

You can also segment lists using Brevo based on interactions like email opens and link clicks. 

You can do this by creating “filters” and then adding them to your email workflows.

Verdict:
Brevo doesn’t assign lead engagement scores, so you may end up guessing which contacts on your list are the most engaged. 

10. What’s the customer support like with these two vendors?

GetResponse

GetResponse offers customers 24/7 support.  

Customers can either talk to experts over live chat or get help over email, which is supported in 8 different languages. 

And if you are on an Enterprise plan, you’ll even get your own Account Manager.

Your account manager helps you onboard, setup, and optimize marketing campaigns, and is there to solve any problems you have. The Account Manager also helps you analyze campaigns to identify leaks and develop ways to boost conversions and engagements. 

Brevo

Brevo offers customer support with their paid plans. You can get either email, telephone, or priority support depending on the plan you choose.
