The Epstein Barr Virus produces infectious mononucleosis that spreads rapidly through contaminated oral/nasal discharge as well as genital secretions. The Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) Antibodies to Early Antigen, IgG can only be detected during an active EBV infection.

Symptoms of EBV are severe fatigue, fever, sore throat and swollen lymph nodes.
