Epstein-Barr Virus Antibody Panel

Use:
The Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) Antibody Panel includes testing for Epstein-Barr Virus VCA Antibody (IgM), Epstein-Barr Virus VCA Antibody (IgG), Epstein-Barr Virus Nuclear Antigen (EBNA) Antibody (IgG). EBV causes the mononucleosis (mono) infection.

Mono is known as the "kissing disease" as it's transferred through saliva. Some signs and symptoms include fatigue, sore throat, fever, swollen lymph nodes in your neck and armpits, swollen tonsils, headache, skin rash and soft, swollen spleen.

Recommended For:
Current, recent or past infections. person, diagnosing high fever and sore throat.

Special Notes:
No special preparation is necessary prior to blood sample collection.
